Well it's all very well and good to say "Lets buy a bike"...but what type, size, colour, budget.....

My DAZE of bone jarring jolts and hanging out my knee and dragging it around a corner just so we get there are well and truly gone....I wanted a machine that reflected my status today not 30 years ago...so it had to be built for comfort..not for speed. On the other hand it needed to be a "HORN" to look at and make me "Feel Good" when I was on it. Above all it had to be comfy for my beautiful bride because we like to be together when we go places.

A quick look outside the square we live in and we soon found a lot of "Baby Boomers" were posing around on cruiser style bikes with lashings of Colour n Chrome.

Well that was the way to go, but for our first bike in 15 years we decided not to lash out with big bucks just in case our dream turned out to be a nightmare.

After a lot of deliberation we settled on a "Rice Rocket" as some "Harley" friends of ours call them. It fitted the looks we wanted with a little price tag too. This bike was 5 years old when we bought it and it looked like new and only had 11000 Kay's on it.

So here it is "THE BIKE" a '98 Yamaha Dragstar Classic...has borrowed some of its  styling from the Harley Fat Boy methinks. This only lasted 9 months with us because Julie kept saying "We need a bigger bike". What guy wouldn't want his wife to keep saying that??

So from 650 to 1600.......

This is the first bike after a 15 year drought
a '98 Yamaha Dragstar Classic.

1600cc's or 98 cubic inches of Growling Grunt...Yip yah.
